A new wave of controversy has swept through social media following a sensational claim made by a young man who alleged that Senator and businessman Ned Nwoko offered him and several others ₦5 million each to assassinate the Senator’s estranged wife, popular actress Regina Daniels.
The dramatic accusation comes amid long-running rumours that the high-profile couple had quietly gone their separate ways after months of marital tensions dominating online conversations.
In a widely circulated video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the young man—whose face was partly concealed—asserted that Senator Nwoko provided detailed information about Regina Daniels’ movements and instructed them to carry out the killing.
According to him, he and his alleged associates ultimately backed out because the operation was “too dangerous.”
“Ned Nwoko told us to go and kill Regina Daniels. He gave us her location and the time she would be moving. But we refused… I couldn’t do it,” the man claimed in the clip.
He further insisted that simply appearing in the video placed him at risk, alleging that he and the others had already received ₦5 million each.
He also issued a warning to Regina Daniels, urging her to remain vigilant, especially during the year-end “ember months.”
The video has ignited a storm of reactions online, with Nigerians expressing everything from disbelief to alarm.
Many social-media users are calling for a thorough investigation, while others question the credibility of the claims and the motives behind releasing such a video.
