Lagos Govt Appoints Mandy Kiss as Youth Ambassador

The Lagos State Government has officially appointed popular social media personality and entertainer, Mandy Kiss, as a youth ambassador.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, as part of the government’s renewed efforts to connect with young people across the state and leverage influencers with strong digital presence to drive youth-focused initiatives.

Mandy Kiss, known for her controversial yet vibrant brand on social media, expressed excitement over the appointment, describing it as “a big responsibility and a chance to change narratives.” She promised to use her platform to advocate for issues affecting young people, including digital entrepreneurship, mental health, and empowerment programs.

According to the state government, Mandy’s appointment is aimed at “bridging the communication gap with the youth demographic and inspiring them to embrace innovation, discipline, and responsible social engagement.”

The development has sparked mixed reactions across social media. While some youths praised the government for recognizing unconventional voices with real influence among the younger generation, critics questioned the choice, arguing that more academically or socially grounded figures should have been selected.
