The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun State chapter, has declared a three-day warning strike to protest unpaid entitlements and other welfare issues affecting its members.
In a notice issued in Osogbo, the union’s chairman, Mr. Idirs Adeniran, said the action became necessary following the government’s failure to address several outstanding demands, including the payment of prolonged unpaid imprest and statutory allowances dating back to 2015.
Adeniran explained that the strike also covers unpaid entitlements for 2024 and 2025, pending promotions for Judiciary staff, the implementation of the ₦70,000 minimum wage and arrears, as well as a 25–35 percent salary increase, five months’ wage awards, and other related arrears.
He stressed that the union had been patient after previously suspending industrial action in June following a meeting with stakeholders, including the Chief Justice of Nigeria and other judicial authorities, but the unresolved issues have forced them to resume agitation.
According to JUSUN, the Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) must act urgently to restore industrial harmony, improve productivity, and safeguard the integrity of the judicial system in Osun State.

The three-day strike, which will affect court operations and judicial processes across the state, is expected to mount further pressure on the government to address the workers’ grievances before the situation escalates.
