Jake Paul Sends Support After Anthony Joshua’s Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

American YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has shared his condolences following a serious road accident involving Nigerian-born British heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Recall that the incident occurred on Monday afternoon, December 29, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Joshua was traveling with friends who had accompanied him to Nigeria for the New Year festivities when the accident happened.

Tragically, two men lost their lives in the crash: Latif, also known as Latz, who served as Joshua’s personal trainer, and Sina, his strength and conditioning coach. Both were seated in the front of the vehicle at the time, while Joshua, sitting in the back, survived with injuries.

In response to the news, Jake Paul took to 𝕏 to offer his support, emphasizing that life takes precedence over sport.

“Life is much more important than boxing,” Paul wrote. “I am praying for the lost lives, AJ, and everyone affected by today’s unfortunate accident.”

The message comes just days after their highly publicized clash on December 19 in Miami, where Joshua claimed a decisive victory over Paul, reportedly breaking the American’s jaw in two places and securing a sixth-round knockout.
