I Didn’t Know She Was Famous – Juma Jux Opens Up on Meeting His Wife Priscilla

Tanzanian music star Juma Jux has opened up about the early days of his relationship with his wife, Priscilla, revealing that he had no idea she was a celebrity when they first crossed paths.

In a heartfelt reflection on their love story, the singer explained that their connection was built long before fame came into the picture.

According to him, their first meeting took place in Rwanda, where Priscilla was in the company of Chioma, who would later play a key role in bringing them together.

“I was just taken by how beautiful she was,” Juma Jux recalled. “We started talking, and everything felt natural. She never mentioned being famous, even after the basketball game where we met.”

The singer said it was only later, after noticing her large social media following, that he realised she had some level of popularity — though he still underestimated how well-known she actually was.

“I thought, okay, she’s popular,” he said, “but I didn’t know she was that big.”

Juma Jux added that their bond continued to grow effortlessly as they spent more time together, including a trip to Zanzibar that brought them even closer. Throughout it all, fame never influenced their connection.

“Chioma saw everything from the beginning,” he said, describing her as the couple’s matchmaker. “For me, it was love at first sight. I knew immediately she was the one.”
