Fresh Crisis Rocks Lagos PDP as Bode George, Koshoedo Clash

FCT Director Explains PDP's 28-Year Ground Rent Arrears and Property Revocation

A fresh crisis has erupted in the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following a clash between former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Bode George, and the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Setonji Koshoedo.

George, in a letter to the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC), accused Koshoedo of sidelining party leaders in the distribution of nomination forms for the forthcoming ward and local government congresses.

He alleged that Koshoedo unilaterally handled the process, bypassing elders and stakeholders of the Lagos PDP. George further claimed that some of the forms were issued to individuals who had defected to other political parties, describing the action as a threat to internal peace and unity.

The PDP chieftain declared Koshoedo “persona non grata” in Lagos PDP activities, warning that the move could trigger acrimony, legal disputes, and further weaken the party in the state.

George urged the NWC to intervene urgently, stressing that Lagos, as the country’s most populous voting state, cannot afford division within the PDP ahead of future elections.

As of press time, Koshoedo has not responded to the allegations.
