Fireboy DML Opens Up About Chaotic Love Life and Lagos Dating Scene

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has offered fans a candid glimpse into his love life, describing it as chaotic yet intriguing.

The 29-year-old singer revealed that the messy dating scene in Lagos inspired his hit track, “Ashawo.” Fireboy explained that his experiences navigating love in the city not only shape his music but also influence how he approaches relationships.

He shared: “In my song ‘Ashawo,’ I was trying to paint a picture of what the dating scene is like in Lagos where I live. It’s a mess. My relationship is chaotic. But I thrive with girls. When I’m under pressure, I usually find balance in girls.”

The Jealous crooner, known for pouring his personal experiences into his music, has previously noted that heartbreak and emotional challenges often fuel his creative process.

Interestingly, Fireboy recently disclosed that he has never truly experienced heartbreak. In a conversation on the 90s Baby Show, he revealed that he considered allowing himself to experience a broken heart but decided against it after consulting some women.
