The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully rescued a five-year-old girl, Miracle Yakubu, and arrested a 46-year-old man, Nawaisi Abdullahi, in connection with her abduction. The incident occurred on Sunday, January 19, 2025, around 10:00 AM. Operatives from the Utako Police Division, working alongside local vigilantes, responded to a distress call about a suspicious man seen walking with a young girl along the Mobil Filling Station near Jabi Expressway.
Upon interception, the suspect was identified as Nawaisi Abdullahi, who had taken the child without the consent of her mother, a local bean cake (akara) vendor in Utako Village.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Abdullahi was heading toward an unknown destination with the child. The police quickly secured Miracle and reunited her with her family. The suspect was immediately taken into custody for further questioning.
