Sinach, Mercy Chinwo, and Aity Dennis for the 2022 CLiMAS Africa Awards

Sinach, Aity Dennis, Mercy Chinwo, Nathaniel Bassey, Chioma Jesus, Dunsin Oyekan, Hope Davies, and other gospel singers have been announced as the 2022 CLIMA Africa Awards’ headliners and nominees. The event will take place today, October 9, at Shell Hall, MUSON Centre, Lagos.

One of Africa’s most prestigious gospel and leadership impact awards, the CLIMA Africa Awards (officially called the “Christian Leadership and Impact Makers Awards in Africa,” but more commonly known as “CLIMA AFRICA AWARDS”), are poised to make history with the historic Lagos edition and the first-ever international partnerships for the exceptional Award, known as “Eko 2022.”

This year’s award ceremony promises to be the best of all of them, according to Uwak Michael, CEO and chief host of the groundbreaking occasion. He claims that this is the case because they have forged worthwhile partnerships and drawn in partners from other African nations, which will allow us to reach more artists and influencers than we were previously able to. Additionally, the addition of new categories honoring stage actors, managers, producers, and gospel music icons raises our image even more, he said.

The statement from CLIMA Africa Magazine and Awards, the esteemed award’s organizers, further mentioned that the event will promote and honor 33 African gospel music artists as well as 20 African impact makers across several categories. Among them are Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State; Chief Afe Babalola, the renowned lawyer; His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Kanu Uche, the Nigerian Methodist Church Prelate; and Are Emmanuel King.

From the lengthy list of nominees that was previously made available for public vote, the winners in the music categories will be revealed. Nonetheless, prominent music critics like MrGospel Music, Isaac Daniel, and Solomon Adebisi of Ayola 95.1 Fm radio station, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, as well as Ada Ehi, Chioma Jesus, Hope Davies (US-based), Muyiwa Olarewaju (UK-based), and Sinach are among the top nominees and are being tipped as winners.
