The historic town of Esenyurt witnessed a complete transformation as it hosted the 2022 Miss Africa event, celebrated with grandeur and style.

This beauty pageant aims to honor and uplift young women who embody their cultural heritage while promoting their roots globally. DJ Blackk Beat, a renowned international music promoter, manager, and record label owner, has spearheaded this initiative to not only celebrate culture but also support young women representing their heritage in the diaspora.

The Miss Africa 2022 pageant, which welcomes contestants aged 18 to 28 from all African backgrounds, showcases their passion for promoting African beauty, fashion, and culture. The grand event took place on October 11 in the heart of Esenyurt.

According to the organizer, Onyeachom Stephen Okechukwu, known as DJ Blackk Beat, the vision behind the pageant is to integrate African culture into a transformative agenda that creates opportunities for youth.

The event received strong backing from Esenyurt’s Mayor, Kemal Deniz Bozkurt, and Turkish media outlets. The mayor attended the event in person, presenting DJ Blackk Beat with a bouquet to recognize his efforts in promoting arts and culture and fostering bilateral cultural exchanges. The event featured performances from top Nigerian artists based in Turkey, including Aero Y, who energized the crowd, as well as the talented Bris Mawanda, among other impressive acts.
