AYKO Agency is set to launch AYKO2021, a talent and modeling competition aimed at providing a platform for individuals aged 18 to 24 with compelling personal stories. This initiative, as announced in a statement on Friday, seeks to empower young talents by offering cash prizes to winners.
AYKO, co-founded by Ayoola Bakare and Koya Onagoruwa, was established with a mission to create equal opportunities for African models and talents. In addition to showcasing creativity, the agency is committed to causes like mental health awareness and digital poverty.
Entries for the competition will open on March 8, with 12 finalists chosen to compete at a prestigious event on June 11, 2021. Five winners will receive a cash prize of N500,000 each, along with a three-week boot camp designed to enhance their skills in areas like financial literacy and personal development. Winners will also be signed to AYKO Agency.
The agency believes that by supporting the personal growth and well-being of its talents, it will help them reach their full potential.
