Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, was on Tuesday arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja in connection with an alleged money laundering case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Malami appeared in court alongside his son and another individual, where they were formally presented with a 16-count charge bordering on financial misconduct. All the defendants entered pleas of not guilty to the charges read before the court.

The case, which has drawn public attention due to Malami’s former role as Nigeria’s chief law officer, was adjourned as proceedings commenced.
