Landmark University has implemented a 20 percent salary increase for its faculty and staff, following approval from the Chairman of the Board of Regents, Dr. David O. Oyedepo. The increase, which took effect in November 2023, was announced by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Ajanaku, to the university community, sparking widespread joy and optimism among the staff.
In his announcement, Professor Ajanaku highlighted the Board’s decision as a critical intervention aimed at alleviating the financial pressure caused by escalating inflation in the national economy. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Board of Regents, particularly Dr. Oyedepo and the Pro-Chancellor, Pastor (Mrs.) Faith Oyedepo, for their compassionate leadership in making this timely decision.
The vice-chancellor praised the Board’s attentiveness to global economic challenges affecting the workforce and lauded its empathetic response to the situation. The salary increase is expected to enhance the financial well-being of the staff, boost morale, and foster a renewed sense of dedication among the university’s workforce.
This move aligns with Landmark University’s broader mission to cultivate a new generation of leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions in their fields, ensuring that the staff remains motivated and committed to the institution’s vision.
