In a statement released on October 28, 2025, the Edo State Government emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in the management of public resources.

The government has instructed Shaibu to return all state-owned vehicles, documents, and other assets to the designated government offices within the stipulated timeframe.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in legal action, the statement warned. The government has made it clear that it will not tolerate any attempts to withhold or misuse state property.

This development adds to the ongoing political drama surrounding Shaibu, who has been at odds with the current administration over various issues.
