WAEC Releases 2025 CBT Results for Private Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2025 results for its Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.

WAEC announced the release via a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday. The message confirmed that the First Series results for private candidates are now available online.

Students Face Access Issues

Shortly after the announcement, some candidates reported issues while trying to access their results. Many turned to social media to express their frustration.

One user, Ephrata, said, “I checked mine now. They’re saying my card has been used by another candidate. This is my first time using it. Why is that? I even bought a new scratch card, and the same issue came up.”

Another X user, posting as endowedToBad, complained, “My student has not been able to check their Nov/Dec 2024 result till now.”

A candidate named Bigname added, “Good morning. I’m trying to re-download my photo card to check my result pin, but it says registration is not allowed this period.”

Meanwhile, another user named Trillions shared a screenshot showing an error message while trying to check their result online.

WAEC Yet to Address Complaints

As of now, WAEC has not issued a formal response to the complaints. Students are urging the examination body to clarify the issues and provide solutions.

Many affected candidates fear delays could impact their application timelines for schools and other programs.

What Candidates Can Do

WAEC typically provides support for technical issues through its customer service portals. Candidates facing problems can contact WAEC support via email, official phone lines, or its verified social media channels.

Candidates are also advised to confirm the authenticity of their scratch cards and ensure they are entering the correct examination details on the WAEC result portal.

More Updates Expected

As complaints continue to flood social media, stakeholders are calling on WAEC to issue a full explanation and assist affected students quickly.

For now, students who have successfully accessed their results can download and print them via the official WAEC result-checking portal.
