Popular Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has dismissed claims by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, suggesting that her allegations against him were false.
The controversy began when Ogala accused Pastor Okafor of reneging on a promise to marry her. She subsequently demanded ₦1 billion in compensation through a legal notice dated December 16, 2025, delivered via her lawyers at Synergy Law Partners.
On Sunday, Pastor Okafor addressed his congregation and issued a public apology, not only to Ogala but also to others he admitted to having offended. While he expressed remorse, he also hinted that some of Ogala’s claims were untrue.
“To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apologies to everyone I have offended. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said; however, I am saying sorry to everyone,” he stated. “To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologize. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended.”
Ogala responded promptly on her social media, accepting the apology but rejecting the insinuation that her allegations were fabricated. “Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote on Facebook.
