Davido’s Father Denies Paternity Claim, Reveals DNA Test Results

Adedeji Adeleke, the father of Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has firmly denied claims that a 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo, is his son’s child.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, the billionaire businessman said several DNA tests have already been conducted to determine the girl’s paternity, all of which reportedly showed that Davido is not her biological father.

Adeleke stressed that his son cannot be held responsible for a child that does not belong to him, while adding that Anuoluwapo deserves to know her real father.

Despite the negative DNA outcomes, Adeleke revealed that he has continued to offer financial assistance to the girl out of goodwill.

According to him, he regularly sends money to cover her school fees and general welfare. He added that Anu’s aunt usually acknowledges the funds by sending receipts and proof of items purchased for the child.

He further clarified that Davido is unaware of this support and that he personally handles the communication with the girl’s relatives.

“I did not discuss it with David or anyone else,” Adeleke stated.

The development follows recent public statements by Anuoluwapo, who had called for a DNA test to confirm her identity. She shared her request on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself, noting that she was resuming school after the holidays and transitioning into her teenage years.

Davido, however, had earlier dismissed the renewed claims, maintaining that several DNA tests had already been done with consistent results showing he is not the father. He urged Anu and her mother to stop linking him to the matter and advised them to seek out the girl’s biological parent instead.
