X3M Ideas and Noah’s Ark excel at the 2022 LAIF Awards

At the 2022 Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards, Noah’s Ark Communications and X3M Ideas stole the show on a night of honors, acknowledgment, and celebration of creative achievement.
Noah’s Ark won 50 medals, including 9 Gold, 18 Silver, and 23 Bronze, at the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) award ceremony, which was recently held at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme of the event was “All Ideas are Welcome.”

With eight gold, eleven silver, and four bronze medals, X3M Ideas placed second on the medals table, narrowly trailing the winner. Insight Publicis and DentsuMCGarryBowen Limited placed third and fourth, respectively. Two to Insight Publicis 2 Gold, 7 Silver, and 9 Bronze, while DentsuMCGarryBowen Limited got 2 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, Director General of the Advertising Regulation Council of Nigeria, or ARCON, praised AAAN for continuing to fly the flag of creativity through the LAIF Awards, pointing out that it has grown to be the largest creative exhibition in the subregion of West Africa.

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) President, Mr. Steve Babaeko, emphasized in his opening remarks that the LAIF Awards continue to be the largest honor in the West African sub-region and that they provide a great platform for recognizing and celebrating the outstanding creative works of marketing communication practitioners.

“We wish to honor the legendary individuals who were admitted into the LAIF Hall of Fame, as well as the unbridled zeal of our young practitioners. Babaeko stated, “It’s a stage to honor our marketing communications community.”
He said that because it gave Ghana, a different nation in the West African subregion, a chance to compete, this year’s event would go down in LAIF history as a memorable one.

Speaking at the event as well, Mr. Lanre Adisa, the Chairman of the LAIF Awards Management Board, stated that the event’s success in presenting the 17th edition of the LAIF Awards has demonstrated its longevity due to the overwhelming support it continues to receive from all relevant parties.

He defined the occasion as a chance to honor the top creative output produced by various agencies for their respective businesses.
The induction of two veterans into the LAIF Hall of Fame—tune Ogunlaiye, a former creative director of Insight Publicis, and acclaimed filmmaker Femi Odugbemi—was a key highlight of the occasion.
