Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has commended Dunamis International Gospel Centre for organizing a well-coordinated evangelism crusade at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, without causing public inconvenience.
Soludo, impressed by the smooth execution of the event, announced a refund of the venue fees paid by the church. He also invited Dunamis, led by Pastor Paul Enenche, to hold future events at the location.
Plans to Upgrade Ekwueme Square
The governor revealed plans for a major facelift of Ekwueme Square and its surroundings. The upgrade will include improved lighting and beautification, reinforcing Anambra’s identity as “The Light of the Nation.”
In a statement released on Thursday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo urged the church to intensify prayers for Anambra’s spiritual renewal.
Soludo Calls for Moral Rebuilding Among Youths
Soludo emphasized the need to redirect young people towards productivity and ethical living.
“Our people are known for hard work and innovation, not for kidnapping, internet fraud, or drug trafficking,” the statement read.
The governor praised Pastor Enenche for preaching righteousness and godly living, stating that such messages help reshape young minds and contribute to a safer, more prosperous Anambra State.

In his sermon, Pastor Enenche emphasized that God’s plan is to bless His people. He cited Genesis 1:28, where God commanded Adam to be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the earth.
He also referenced Genesis 9:1, explaining how God renewed His blessing with Noah after the flood.
“God is committed to blessing those who walk with Him,” Pastor Enenche stated.
He encouraged believers to remain steadfast in faith, serve God, and live righteously, assuring them that obedience activates divine blessings.
