Hilda Dokubo Addresses Death Rumours, Vows to Continue Advocating for Good Governance

Hilda Dokubo has strongly denied the rumors of her death circulating in Rivers State. On Thursday, she addressed the claims during an Instagram Live session. The actress reassured her fans, stating that she is alive and well. She promised to continue her advocacy for good governance, despite the false reports.

Standing Strong Against the Rumours

Dokubo expressed her frustration with the ongoing rumors. “Everybody, this is me, healthy and strong. I’m not dead. I’m not dying now,” she said. She added, “Every second, every minute, they’re killing one actor or the other. So, it’s not a big deal.” Despite the constant circulation of such rumors, she made it clear that she remains unfazed.

Concern for Family and Friends

Although she is unaffected, Dokubo acknowledged the concern these rumors caused her loved ones. She shared that people even visited her nearly 80-year-old mother, worried about her safety. “People had even gone to visit my mum, who is almost 80 years old,” she said, showing empathy for those worried about her well-being.

Clarifying Allegations About the Rally

The rumors followed claims that Dokubo was hired by suspended Governor Fubara to organize a rally against President Tinubu and Minister Wike. Dokubo addressed these allegations directly, stating, “I have no business organizing a rally or whatever you called it.” She explained, “I love to dance. If you can’t find me dancing, you can only find me making a speech.”

Rejecting Political Bitterness

Dokubo firmly rejected any notion of political bitterness. “I would never wish him dead. I am not a proponent of politics with bitterness,” she stated. She emphasized that her focus remains on advocating for the truth and good governance.

Unwavering in Her Position

Dokubo ended by reaffirming her commitment to speaking out. “I am not a coward and can never be one,” she said. “No matter what they do, I will not change my position.” She made it clear that she will never wish harm on anyone, even at her lowest. “I, Hilda, will never, ever wish death on anyone.”

Her response shows her resolve to stay true to her principles and continue fighting for justice.
