The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise, urging party members and supporters across Nigeria to take advantage of the ongoing process.
In a statement issued on Friday, January 22, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced that the digital registration exercise is currently underway in Delta State, other states of the federation, and the Federal Capital Territory. He invited both existing and prospective members to participate.
According to the APC, the exercise is being conducted at ward levels nationwide. Current members are expected to confirm and update their membership information, while new entrants are encouraged to register and formally join the party. Morka noted that the initiative is open to all Nigerians who align with the party’s progressive values.
“All party stakeholders, supporters, and members—both old and new—are invited to take part in the ongoing APC electronic membership registration exercise,” the statement read.
Eligibility and Requirements
The party spokesperson disclosed that individuals interested in registering must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
He explained that these requirements are intended to ensure the accuracy, credibility, and reliability of the party’s membership database.
“Registrants must be 18 years or older and must have a valid National Identification Number,” Morka stated.
Purpose of the E-Registration
Morka explained that the digital registration initiative is part of the APC’s efforts to modernise its internal systems and improve party administration.
He said the exercise would help digitise the party’s membership records, enhance data integrity, and allow for more efficient access to information for planning, management, and decision-making.
He added that the initiative would also strengthen internal democracy and reflect the party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.
“The electronic registration exercise is designed to digitise the party’s membership register, ensure record integrity, improve access to data for effective planning, promote internal democracy, and reinforce the APC’s commitment to democratic innovation,” he said.
The APC encouraged Nigerians who share its ideology to participate in the exercise and officially become members of the party, describing it as an opportunity to join Nigeria’s progressive movement.

Further details regarding registration centres and procedures, the party said, will be communicated through ward and state party structures across the country.
