Air Peace Alerts Public on Fake 30% Flight Discount Scam

Air Peace

In a stern warning to the public, Air Peace Airlines has publicly disassociated itself from a circulating promotion claiming the airline is offering a 30 percent flight discount.

The carrier accused fraudsters of using its brand identity to entice unsuspecting travelers into scams.

What Happened

Over recent days, social media platforms have carried adverts and messages purporting that Air Peace is running a limited-time 30 % off offer on fares.

The promotion asks interested persons to make payments or share personal information to “claim” the discount.

According to the airline, these offers are not genuine and have no connection with its authorized marketing efforts.

In a statement released via its official communication channels, Air Peace emphasized that the discount scheme is a fraud.

The airline urged Nigerians to disregard any such advertorials, clarifying that no such discount campaign was ever authorized.

How the Scam Operates

Based on the airline’s advisory, the scheme typically works as follows:

1. A bogus ad or social media page claims to represent Air Peace.

2. Prospective “customers” are asked to provide personal data (name, contact, bank details) or to pay a small “activation” or “token” fee.

3. Victims are then directed to a suspicious website or WhatsApp chat, which may mimic the Air Peace brand or redirect them to unknown third‑party pages.

4. The fraudsters use the collected data or payments to gain unauthorized access to victims’ bank accounts or siphon funds.

Air Peace’s Response & Recommendations

* The airline insists that the only official booking channels are its recognized platforms (website, official apps, and authorized agents).

* It warned that it would never ask passengers to pay into personal bank accounts for promotions or “reservations.”

* The public was also advised to verify any promotional offer through the airline’s official channels before engagement.

Beneath The Warning

This is not the first time Air Peace has had to distance itself from fraudulent promotions. In past years, it has raised alarms over cloned websites posing as its booking portal, fake social media accounts, and bogus recruitment offers bearing its name.
