Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially secured the governorship ticket of the Accord Party ahead of the 2026 election.

Adeleke emerged as the party’s flagbearer after polling 145 votes during the primary election held in Osogbo. He had earlier been screened and cleared by the party’s screening committee, paving the way for his unopposed candidature.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the chairman of the committee and the National Organising Secretary of the party, Mr. Ibe Thankgod, confirmed that Adeleke was the only aspirant who met all the requirements for the primary. He added that the committee also completed all necessary documentation with relevant authorities.
