Nigerian movie star Nkechi Blessing has revealed how she narrowly avoided injury after part of her Plaster of Paris (POP) ceiling collapsed inside her Lekki residence in Lagos.

The Nollywood actress, in a video posted on Instagram, showed the affected area while expressing her shock over the unexpected event. She stated that the ceiling fell dangerously close to her newly purchased car.

She lamented:
“Come to Lekki they said. Thank God no be inside house and my new car no Dey there…wetin I for talk abeg? It’s well with una Lekki developers.”

The incident has sparked conversations about building standards in highbrow areas such as Lekki, which has experienced several reports of building collapses in recent years.

Nkechi Blessing, widely recognized for her energetic roles and social media influence, continues to draw attention not just for her film appearances but also her personal life. Earlier this year, she confirmed her separation from her partner Xxssive, clarifying that their relationship ended without conflict in 2024.
