Credo by eTranzact, in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University and the Global AI Council of Nigeria, will host the fourth edition of its AI Readiness Roundtable this month in Lagos. The event, tagged the “AI SME Summit,” aims to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their operations and enhance their competitiveness.
Empowering SMEs Through Artificial Intelligence
Launched in 2024, the AI Readiness Roundtable initiative seeks to equip SMEs with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to leverage AI technology. Previous sessions have been held in Kano, Port Harcourt, and Enugu, drawing strong participation from business owners eager to embrace AI’s potential for growth and innovation.
Niyi Toluwalope, Managing Director of eTranzact, emphasized the importance of the initiative in driving technological inclusion across Nigeria. “At eTranzact, we are committed to driving an all-inclusive economy powered by technology. Through this roundtable, we are equipping SMEs—the backbone of Nigeria’s economy—with the knowledge and tools they need to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global market. AI is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity, and we are proud to champion this cause,” he said.
Bridging Academia, Technology, and Business
Dr. Olawale Anifowose, Country Director of the Enterprise Development Centre at Pan-Atlantic University, spoke about the alignment of the program with national development goals. “This initiative represents a unique collaboration between academia, technology, and business. By reaching SMEs in every geopolitical zone, we are addressing the needs of businesses at the grassroots level and ensuring they are not left behind in the AI revolution,” he noted.
Testimonials from Previous Sessions
Feedback from past participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Halima Yusuf, a retail business owner from Kano, shared her transformation: “Before attending the session, AI felt like a foreign concept. Now, I understand how it can help me manage inventory and improve customer experience. This is a game-changer for my business.”
Similarly, Chibuzor Okeke, a fashion entrepreneur from Enugu, expressed her gratitude: “The roundtable opened my eyes to AI tools that can enhance creativity and streamline production. I am grateful to eTranzact and their partners for bringing this opportunity to us.”
High Expectations for the Lagos Edition
With the Lagos edition approaching, expectations are high as SME stakeholders prepare to explore the practical applications of AI. The initiative will continue to roll out across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones throughout 2025, ensuring that businesses in every region can benefit from this transformative program.
By helping SMEs navigate the AI landscape, eTranzact and its partners are not only fostering innovation but also supporting the growth of Nigeria’s economy through the adoption of cutting-edge technology.
