A young man, identified simply as Success, has been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly killing his father with a cutlass. The shocking event took place in the Amukpe community, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, just days ago.
Eyewitness accounts reveal that the gruesome attack occurred at the family’s residence when Success demanded N5,000 from his father, who refused to meet the demand. The altercation reportedly escalated, leading to the violent attack.

Speaking anonymously, a neighbour shared insights into the suspect’s history, stating, “Everyone in this area knows Success as a drug addict who always misbehaved whenever he had taken those drugs.”
On the evening of the incident, Success was said to have returned home visibly agitated, leading to a heated argument with his father over the denied monetary request. The argument spiraled out of control, culminating in a fit of rage where Success allegedly attacked his father with a cutlass.
