Afrobeats star Davido has announced plans to release his fifth studio album in early 2025. Speaking during an interview on The Baller Alert Show, the Feel crooner confirmed the much-anticipated project but refrained from revealing its title, specific release date, or featured artists.

Additionally, the 32-year-old artist shared details about an exciting collaboration set to drop in a few days. The track, titled Funds, features acclaimed rapper Odumodublvck, whom Davido described as the “biggest Nigerian rapper,” alongside Chike, whom he likened to American singer Bryson Tiller.

“We have another [song] coming in a couple of days; it’s called Funds,” Davido said. “I featured the current biggest Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, and the Nigerian Bryson Tiller—girls love him; his name is Chike.”

On his forthcoming album, Davido hinted at its unique African vibe, describing it as “real African records.”

In the interview, the Afrobeats sensation also expressed his decision to remain rooted in Nigeria, despite opportunities to relocate abroad. “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now,” he said.

Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 with his hit single Dami Duro from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Over the years, he has solidified his place in the music industry with albums like A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and his latest release, Timeless (2023). Fans eagerly await his next project, which promises to deliver a fresh take on African sounds.
