Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE). The conference, scheduled from November 27 to December 2, 2024, is being held at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre.
The visit follows an invitation from Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, as confirmed by a statement from the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communication, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha.
SIREXE 2024 is an international event focused on sustainable policies and strategies for the development of extractive and energy industries. Vice President Shettima is expected to share insights from Nigeria’s experience in hydrocarbon exploration and production during the conference.
Shettima is scheduled to return to Abuja later on Wednesday.
