Excitement is mounting ahead of the Megastar Man of the Decade Award (MMOTDA), an event organized by MegaStar Magazine to honor outstanding contributions in various fields over the past decade. The prestigious ceremony is set to take place on December 1, 2024, at the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Abuja.
Hosts and Highlights
International broadcast journalist and CNN Senior Editor for Africa, Stephanie Busari, has been confirmed as the lead host. Joining her as co-host is Dr. Efex, popularly known as Efex De Entertainer. Busari, a veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in media, is known for her expertise in moderating high-profile events and panels globally. Efex, a Harvard alumnus and seasoned corporate MC, brings additional flair to the event.
The MMOTDA Project Director, Adeniyi Ifetayo Moses, explained that the choice of Busari and Efex reflects the organizers’ commitment to delivering a world-class event, given the caliber of awardees and the international audience expected.

The event will recognize prominent individuals who have made significant contributions in various sectors over the last ten years. Among the honorees are:
- Sen. Ned Nwoko – Senator representing Delta North
- Dele Momodu – Founder of Ovation Magazine
- Dr. Mike Adenuga – Business magnate
- Alhaji Aliko Dangote – Renowned industrialist
- Teni Makanaki and Davido – Acclaimed musicians
- Engr. Sule Abdullahi – Governor of Nasarawa State
- Late Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo – Recognized posthumously for pioneering private marine security in Nigeria
- President Paul Kagame – Honored for his leadership
Additionally, the Friends of Nigeria Award will celebrate foreign nationals whose contributions have positively impacted Nigeria, as well as a few notable members of the diaspora serving as ambassadors for the country.

Proceeds from the event will fund CSR initiatives in underserved communities within Abuja. These include:
