President Tinubu Appoints Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser, Names Three New Directors-General

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications. The appointment was part of a broader announcement on Thursday that included the naming of three directors-general for various national agencies.

The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a statement titled “President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General And One Special Adviser On Public Communication.”

In addition to Bwala, the new appointees include Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Daniel Bwala, described as a seasoned lawyer and public affairs analyst, will oversee public communication from the State House. Olawale Olopade, an experienced sports administrator and former Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, also chaired the Local Organising Committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival. Dr. Abisoye Fagade, a marketing communication expert and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, will lead efforts in the hospitality and tourism sector. Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, who previously served as Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the Bureau of Public Procurement, will now head the agency.

President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, patriotism, and excellence to further the nation’s development.
