The Edo State Government announced on Wednesday the immediate dissolution of all executive boards, agencies, and parastatals in the state’s public service. Chief Press Secretary Fred Itua conveyed the directive, issued by Governor Monday Okpebholo, mandating all affected appointees to return government property to the highest-ranking public officers within their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
The statement added that, “In addition, all permanent secretaries appointed from outside the state public/civil service and all political appointees are hereby relieved of their appointments.†This restructuring move aims to streamline state operations and ensure compliance with public service policies.
