In a tragic incident on Sunday, terrorists invaded Oil Village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting a 9-year-old girl from her family’s residence. The attack, which occurred around 11:45 pm on Saturday night, extended into the early hours of Sunday. The father of the abducted child, who spoke under anonymity for security reasons, confirmed the abduction and expressed hope for his daughter’s safe return.
According to sources, the four-man gang entered the property by scaling a fence near the Kaduna Refinery Quarters. After gaining access to the compound, they attempted to enter the home through various doors but ultimately broke in through a window, leading them directly to the room of the young girl, whom they abducted.
The distraught father recalled an encounter with one of the invaders through a window, before members of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS) arrived on the scene, prompting the terrorists to flee. He added that the Nigerian Army soon followed with two truckloads of officers, alongside local police, but by that time, the perpetrators had escaped with his daughter.
As sympathizers gathered at the family’s residence, the father expressed gratitude for the quick response of security agencies but urged the government and compassionate citizens to aid in securing his daughter’s safe release.
