The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted an attempt to smuggle illicit drugs to the United Kingdom, concealed within parcels of tiger nuts and bags of groundnuts. The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, shared videos of the discovery on X.com on Sunday and advised the public to inspect packages carefully before accepting them. Babafemi reiterated, “Once again, never accept any package on your journey, no matter how genuine it looks, without a thorough search.” The NDLEA’s vigilance highlights the agency’s efforts to counter evolving smuggling tactics.
