Konga, one of Africa’s largest e-commerce platforms, has temporarily redirected customer support to email and WhatsApp following a technical issue that has disrupted its phone service. In an email sent on Monday, Konga confirmed that a system failure has affected its call lines, with technical teams actively working on a resolution.
While no specific timeframe was provided for restoring phone services, Konga urged customers to use alternative support channels in the interim. “Please be advised that our call lines are currently down due to a system issue. Our technical team is actively working to restore service as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the company said.
Customers needing support are advised to contact Konga via email at helpdesk@kongapay.com or reach out on WhatsApp at 09010401261.
The timing of this disruption coincides with Konga’s “Konga Yakata Xtra” sales event, which offers customers a 10% discount on purchases made using the KongaPay wallet on Konga.com, as well as discounted rates for bill payments. The sales event, popular for its discounts and deals, has increased customer engagement on the platform, making the restoration of support services a priority for Konga.
Konga assured customers that it is committed to resolving the issue swiftly and appreciates their patience during the ongoing technical challenges.
