PalmPay Marks Fourth Year in Nigeria, Achieves 1.1 Million Businesses Onboarded and 30 Million App Users

Financial technology firm PalmPay has onboarded 1.1 million businesses and expanded its network to over 600,000 merchants and 500,000 agents within just four years of operating in Nigeria. This milestone was highlighted in a statement celebrating the company’s fourth anniversary.

Chika Nwosu, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, emphasized the firm’s commitment to driving financial inclusion, announcing that PalmPay’s app now serves 30 million users, a threefold increase from just a year ago. “Today, 1 in 5 Nigerians use PalmPay for transactions, underscoring our mission to provide accessible financial services to the unbanked and underbanked populations,” he stated.

In line with its vision to expand financial access, PalmPay aims to support over 10 million businesses with secure and inclusive financial services. The company has also invested in 36 offices across Nigeria, focused on delivering responsive customer service and community engagement, which Nwosu noted as essential for promoting financial literacy and empowerment.

PalmPay’s rapid growth reflects the increasing demand for fintech solutions that can bridge the gap in digital financial inclusion, providing accessible, reliable, and affordable financial services to underserved communities in Nigeria.
