Adebanke, 25, was crowned Miss Oyo 2022.

Miss Adedairo Adebanke, a 25-year-old student at the College of Health Technology in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, specializing in community health and extension work, has won the 2022 Miss Oyo Beauty Pageant.

Having competed in the pageant on a few occasions, Adedairo was crowned on Sunday night during the 19th iteration of the state’s most reliable event, which took place at Felicia Hall, Jogor Events Centre, Ibadan.
She defeated 22 other competitors to take home the coveted Toyota Yaris automobile, which was given away by Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the Accord senatorial candidate for Oyo South.

The first, second, and third runners-up were Miss Mohammed Tolulope, 24; Adunmide Adewale Feranmi, 21; and Adepoju Felicia, 23.
In the Miss Intellect and Miss Elegant categories, Isiaka Zainab Ormeiza, 30, and Adedapo Cecilia, 22, took first place, respectively.

In addition to the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Ripples, CMWG Travels, Faozey, and House of Representatives member for Oyo North Federal Constituency, Hon. Laide Akinremi, who provided financial and logistical assistance for the event, the runners-up took home donated devices from Foodco.

Adelabu, who hosted the contestants and victors two years ago, has further committed to hosting this year’s contestants at a later time.

Each of the 23 competitors received a N100,000 prize money from the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Honourable Stanley Adedeji, popularly known as Odidi Omo, candidate for the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency.

The popular gospel artist Dr. Yinka Ayefele’s stations, Fresh FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3, Ibadan, provided the event’s power. The event was organized by Mayor Isaac Brown’s Silverstone Communications.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord governorship; Senator Monsurat Sunmonu; Dr. Ayefele; Accord candidate for Oyo Central, Nurudeen Faozey; council chairmen led by the ALGON chairman and the chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Sanda; and Labour Party candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Dexter Akin-Alamu, were present at the glittering and glamorous ceremony.

Seun Ashamu, the Commissioner for Energy, presided over the panel of judges, which included Mrs. Funke Adetuberu, a well-known inspirational speaker and family therapist.
