Today, Huawei Technologies Company Nigeria Limited, a Chinese multinational technology corporation, will name Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO) the 2022 Best Huawei Academy.
According to a statement provided to reporters in Edo State and signed by the Registrar of the IOU, Friday Benji Bakare, the recognition is a component of Huawei Technologies’ 2022–2023 “Huawei National ICT Competition Award Ceremony” celebrations.
According to Bakare, the prize is noteworthy and a genuine testament to the university’s widely recognized Smart Campus Wide Digital transformation on a global scale.
He said that Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, the university’s vice chancellor, will also get a prize during the occasion for being named the “Most Supportive Vice Chancellor for the Year 2022.”
The announcement said as follows: “Igbinedion University, Okada Huawei Academy will get the 2022 Best Academy Award from Huawei Technologies Company Nigeria Limited, a Chinese international technology company.
“The recognition is part of the activities Huawei Technologies has planned to commemorate the 2022–2023 Huawei National ICT Competition Award Ceremony, which is set to take place at The Fraiser Suite, Abuja, on December 19, 2022. It is contained in a letter from Huawei Technologies dated December 8, 2022, addressed to the Vice Chancellor.
At the occasion, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, the university’s vice chancellor, will also receive an award for being the Most Supportive Vice Chancellor for the Year 2022.
