There are no plans to have another UTME or JAMB in 2022.

The general public, in particular candidates in the recently concluded 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), have been cautioned by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to be cautious of the cunning and other unsavoury activities of fraudsters who are fabricating claims of errors in the candidates’ UTME scores.

This is stated in a statement that the Head of Public Affairs and Protocol of JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, signed.

Therefore, the Board is continuing to maintain—for the umpteenth time—that the UTME is a computer-based exam that is electronically assessed without the involvement of a human.

As a result, the false rumors that are circulating are nothing more than the creations of the cunning minds behind these unjustified accusations. Therefore, the Board affirms that it will not be holding another UTME and that there is no opportunity for error in its electronic scoring system.

This clarification was required in response to rumors on social media about a supposed UTME postponement, claiming imaginary mistakes in the computer scoring system, and a JAMB alleged apologies stating that another UTME will be scheduled.

The Board would like to declare that the report is not only fraudulent and nefarious, but also deceptive, and that it was written out of the irritation that these con artists could not fool gullible candidates because of the many creative measures the Board has taken to safeguard them.

The public would remember that the Board had anticipated some of these despicable tactics of these evildoers and had issued a warning to both the candidates and the public at large to avoid any chance of them being the victims of the malicious schemes of con artists.

Once more, JAMB urges the public to ignore this news item since it does not originate from JAMB and it has not authorized any person or organization to speak on its behalf.

Therefore, the Board suggests that applicants visit www.jamb.gov.ng periodically to take advantage of its easily navigable advice regarding the evaluation of their 2022 UTME results and other procedures.
