Police Nabs Regina Daniels’ Brother In Lagos

Sammy Daniels, the younger brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has reportedly been taken into police custody following an incident that played out during a live social media broadcast.

The arrest occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. Sammy was said to be in the company of a friend when law enforcement officers approached them. Viewers watching the live video reportedly witnessed the tense moment before the broadcast suddenly went offline.

As of the time of this report, the reason for Sammy Daniels’ arrest has not been officially disclosed. Neither the Nigeria Police Force nor Regina Daniels has issued a formal statement addressing the incident.

The development comes amid an escalating public disagreement within the Daniels family. During a recent Instagram Live session, Regina Daniels alleged that her husband, billionaire businessman and politician Senator Ned Nwoko, was responsible for her brother’s arrest.

Regina also dismissed claims circulating online that her family stole $40,000 from Nwoko. She insisted that the allegation was false, adding that her husband does not keep large sums of cash at home.

Meanwhile, Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to the controversy through his media team, releasing documents and messages aimed at countering claims made by his wife.

The materials include a WhatsApp message dated October 17, alongside medical and therapy records, as well as statements from household staff.

The senator’s team strongly denied allegations of domestic abuse, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from what they termed long-standing health and behavioural concerns. They further claimed that independent toxicology tests revealed the presence and misuse of multiple substances, which they say had been privately flagged months before the matter became public.
