The Nigeria Police Force has issued a clarification regarding the enforcement of the tinted glass ban following a recent meeting with the National Bar Association (NBA).
The meeting aimed to address concerns raised by legal practitioners about the implications of the ban on their professional activities.
In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police reiterated that the ban on vehicles with tinted windows remains in effect.
However, the police have acknowledged the need for exemptions for certain categories of individuals, particularly legal professionals who require tinted windows for privacy and security reasons.
The police have assured that a streamlined application process will be established to facilitate the issuance of permits for those eligible for exemptions.
Legal practitioners and other qualified individuals are encouraged to apply through the designated portal to obtain the necessary permits.
