The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that a pre-test will be conducted for all applicants under the Superintendent cadre as part of its ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise.
According to the Service, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will hold on Monday, September 22, 2025, and will determine the eligibility of shortlisted candidates before the main stages of the recruitment process.
NCS explained that the pre-test is designed to ensure transparency, merit, and efficiency in filling available vacancies, noting that it remains committed to recruiting only qualified individuals.
A total of 286,697 applicants have been shortlisted to compete for 3,927 available positions across different cadres of the Service, including Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant.
The Service further disclosed that the test will be conducted strictly online and only candidates with laptops or desktops equipped with webcams will be allowed to participate. Mobile phones and tablets will not be accepted.

Applicants were also warned that strict compliance with examination guidelines will be enforced. Distractions, switching windows, or violation of the laid-down rules could lead to automatic disqualification.
